The shopping experience at Pursuit is very different than any other place you may have purchased a suit. Here's what to expect.
Plan Ahead
We are a custom clothing company which means we need time to make high quality garments for you. Be sure to plan ahead to give us the time to get things right for you with all options at our disposal! Unlike other custom clothing companies we do also offer a limited in-stock collection made at the same factory as our custom suits for times when surprises occur.
Appointment Only
We have invested heavily in having great space in Columbus with an expert team that is in very high demand. To insure great results we require you shop with us by appointment only and we only sell in our Short North shop unless you have a confirmed fit on file. So plan ahead, book your fitting, and see why we feel this is the best approach.
We Sell Outfits
Since 2011 we have been known as the experts in suits but that is only part of our expertise. We sell entire outfits so that you also have shirts, shoes, accessories and more to go with your suit. Before your visit give thought to all you plan to wear with your suit. We don't want to sell you a great new suit to wear with a beat up old pair of dress shoes, worn out shirt, or outdated tie. You come to us for our expertise, let us help you nail the entire look.
Homework Required
Whether you have a crystal clear vision, a general idea, or are trusting us to lead you, it's important to know your appointment is for purchasing and the details will be completely finalized at the end of the appointment. So before you book, it's important to do your homework, enlist all important opinions in advance, and come ready to make final decisions. Ok, Now Book an Appointment
We are by appointment only to ensure you get a great one-on-one experience with our experts. Our team is very small and we work with thousands of folks each year so it's important to schedule ahead and follow our rescheduling or cancellation policy. Please don't waste your time or ours. If you're on the fence, reach out before scheduling.
At Your Appointment: Craft Your Look
The first part of your appointment is choosing your styles. We know suits can be intimidating so at your appointment we'll guide you to make it fun, comfortable, and easy to find the right look for your occasion or to add to your wardrobe. Unlike other custom clothing companies we have invested heavily in hundreds of design sample garments to supplement our wall of swatch books containing thousands of fabric options. You'll pick fabrics and we'll guide you through all the design to help you put the entire look together with confidence.
At Your Appointment: Dial in the Fit
The second part of your appointment is the fitting. We've built our business around a great fit. We'll discuss how you'd like your clothing to fit and then meticulously walk through the various sizes and adjustment to achieve the fit you'll love. Unlike many custom brands, we have invested heavily in hundreds of fit samples that allow you try-on sample garment to ensure a predictably great fit.
At Your Appointment: Make Your Purchase
You'll pay in full at your fitting and we'll collect all the details before you leave. We don't do free consults nor follow-up after your appointment to finalize design. You'll leave your appointment having locked everything in, purchased your items, and scheduled your return appointment to pick-up your clothing.
Return Visit: Pick-Up Appointment
This is the really fun part as it's your chance to see yourself in your new clothing! This short appointment is the unveiling of your great new clothing and confirmation that you love the fit. For those who visit from out of town for the purchase appointment, we can make arrangements to ship your completed suit directly to you but prefer to have you pick-up in person when possible.
Just In Case: Local Alterations
Most of the time your clothing will fit as intended at your pick-up appointment but we always want to leave time to make minor adjustments with our Columbus tailor. If alterations are needed, we'll document them and send them off to our tailor and you'll pick up the finished product in around two weeks. This is part of the reason it's critical to plan ahead. Fit on File: Easy Repeat Purchases
Once we have a fit on file, repeat purchases are simple, even when you aren't able to visit the shop. As long as past Pursuit clothing fits the way you love, we can save you the fitting and simply "clone the fit" in your new clothing. Just browse our site and reach out or book an appointment to come back to the shop or order remotely.
Purchase Policies
We don't promise "perfect" and we are highly skeptical of any clothing companies that use that word. We get great results the vast majority of the time and do our best to make adjustments to anything that doesn't arrive as we expected but if you're expectation is "perfect" we'd rather not take your money as we don't believe in perfect and don't like to disappoint.
As a custom clothing company we do not offer returns or refunds so ensure you are ready to commit before booking your appointment.
It is also important to note that we cannot guarantee delivery when purchasing outside our standard delivery timeline. Sometimes customers wish to roll the dice and order with less time than our guidance. Just know we will not refund orders that do not arrive by your event date if you do not adhere to our timeline guidance.
Unworn accessories may be exchanged within 30 days of purchase but cannot be returned for a refund.
